Making Glass Transparent
In this lesson, I’ll tackle a challenge image that was submitted by Gary S. who wanted to remove the background on a vase of flowers. The main challenge in this case is to make the glass look transparent so you can see through it to the replacement background. I’ll use a combination of Color Range, Quick Mask Mode, Select & Mask, Layer Masks and Blending Modes to tackle this job.
Note: The downloadable practice images for this lesson have been compressed into a .zip archive. That means you’ll have to double-click on the file after downloading to extract its contents before attempting to use the images in Photoshop.
