High Pass Sharpening
We start by describing a special technique for using High Pass filter as an alternative to normal sharpening. We’ll then show how that popular technique doesn’t really offer a quality advantage over standard sharping before we shift into what makes High Pass a desirable technique… it has nothing to do with a visual difference in your image and everything to do with versatility when working with complex layered images.
