Detail Visualizations II

This lesson extends what we covered in last week’s lesson which was called Detail Visualizations. I’ll show you how to create a custom visualization layer, then convert the adjustment layer into a profile that can be applied in Adobe Camera Raw or Lightroom. We’ll then take a look at how the visualization relates to adjusting images using Curves.

Note: The downloadable practice images for this lesson have been compressed into a .ZIP archive. That means you’ll have to double-click the file after download to extract its contents before attempting to use them in Photoshop. Also, the file that ends in .CUBE is a Color Lookup Table that can be loaded into Adobe Camera Raw or Lightroom as a profile using the techniques mentioned in the lesson.
